Hello sheep!
Dash and I went on a safari of sorts a few days ago. In the span of 15 minutes we saw bighorn sheep, elk, buffalo, deer, wolves, and trumpeter swans.

Perfection....
Once in a blue moon a day off from work and a day at daycare align to help make days like this possible!
Pretty damn nice hanging with Chels, soaking up some Vitamin D, and chilling.
Always has been and always will be one of our favorite experiences in the valley this time of year.

Celebrating....
Our lil man turned two yesterday! Hard to believe. The cliche that it goes by too fast rings true!
Dash had a perfect day going a a bagel date with his mom and friends in the morn, and skiing with his folks in the afternoon.
Then had a fancy dinner at 3C with his buddy Johnny to top things off.

Searching.....
A ride last weekend helped bring into focus just how amazing of a winter it has been thus far.....
We remarked how it was the firs time we have used our sunny day goggles and had to actually search a bit for good snow.
Just so in love with being in the backcountry in the winter time on a sled.
Looking at peaks.
And jumping, always jumping.......boys will be boy.
Looking north toward the bulk of the Teton Range and GTNP.
This white stuff is gonna be around for another 6 months of riding would be my guess!

First time for everything.....
We were in no hurry to get the Dashman skiing, but after getting some hand me down equipment from buds and the sun finally coming out, it was time to give it a go!
And the verdict......, Dash absolutely loved it! His poor lil Gumbi legs had a hard time going on his own, but with a little bit of parental strength he make it happen.
He smiled the entire time and got some fresh air in his face.
Not quite 2 and loving the magic carpet. Snow King is literally the best place for kids. Kudos to them. No crowds, you can put your gear on at the bottom of the carpet via the parking lot, and it is a perfect slope.
Hugs for mom after going "really fast."
THis pic will be going up on the wall at some point.

Habit forming....
In continuing with the keeping the ski boots on all weekend theme.......
Dash in the parking lot skiing ice...
And then helping his ol man shovel snow, despite the lack of grip, the ski boots stayed on.

Loboring never felt so good!
Everyone around the valley this past week was doing the same thing as me hoping roofs didn't collapse.
With a lil bit of encouragement and a lot of rain, it finally went.

Adventures with mom!
Never a dull moment for the Dashman when hanging with mom during the day.
Dash has had a love affair with loaders for quite sometime. The other day might have been his favorite day ever.
Regardless of the weather, the lil man always wants to be outside. This we love.
The timeless pursuit of catching snowflakes in your mouth.
Learning how to fly a plane at the children's museum.

Wanna do it again....
Last weekend's trip down to Utah might not be our last for the winter. It was so damn fun seeing our buds down there and having fun sledding and skiing.
Chels and Michelle had rocket ships for chairlifts up all morning long, and fresh pow turns afterward.
Chris, Zoe, and Riley.
Drop off zone with nothing but untracked goodness below.
Curt......, putting my sled through its paces.
My idea of a winter paradise.
Zoe, playing with fire
Much love.

Becoming a tradition
Last weekend was a blast! We did a very similar weekend last winter with our good buds the Happes, and decided it should be an annual affair.
Chels and Dash loading the bag for the entire weekend for all three of us to be strapped onto the back of my sled to ride into the cabin.
Bag strapped on, Tanner wanted my sled for more reasons than it matched his outfit. I can only imagine how rad this beast must seem to a 9 year old that loves motorsports when I am a full grown adult and I still marvel at how badass it is!
Dad and daughter, riding in. So awesome.
Matt and Zoe.
Chels getting some untracked turns just out the door from the cabin.
Curt couldn't get enough of my sled. I think it might just have been an expensive test for him!

Same amazingly awesome lil dude, but way different look with the new short hair cut from last week!
Never know who you might need on your scooter ride.
