Closing Weekend at the Village

We had so much fun this last weekend with Kari in town! Not only did we get awesome powder snowmobiling, but we got some powder skiing at the Village on Saturday and Sunday which was closing day...boohoo! Without further ado, the pics say it all....

Kari's AWESOME outfit. I changed her name to Tammy for the day.

Trev and I totally look like we belong together, no?

Near the end of the day, everyone tries to get to the top of the tram so they can throw snowballs and get one last run top to bottom on closing day. This was our group, Trev, Ted setting off fireworks, Tammy and me, just chilling.

Showing off my new Mystery Ranch backpack (Thanks Mark!!!) Little did he know how amazingly well it would match my hair and one-piece!

Our new buddy Chad from Sun Valley that picked our group out of the crowd to talk to because it looked like we were having the most fun, which was probably true.

Love this one of us, Trev drinking and me posing, haha.

Posing with our German friends Manfred, Francesca and Andrea who we met in Austria last winter and have been living in Jackson for the school year...they are the coolest.

A little bit of the scene at the top of the tram, I guess you see it all here!

I think Trev is in his element!

Closing apres party with DJ Cut La What spinning tunes.

Ya! So much fun and Kari is back.
We just kept dancing...

and hanging out with people like this guy.

Nice stash Ted...haha!

We danced and partied until we were too hungry and finally had to leave, this was the scene at 8pm! I love it here.

The Goods

Even if you don't really like snowmobiling (Mom), you should watch this little video of our fun adventures last Friday. We picked up our friend Kari from the airport and headed out to Togwotee to play in the fresh powder...check out this goodness!

The beginning to an awesome weekend

We had such an amazing weekend and so stoked that our friend Kari was in town to enjoy it with us! She got to town on Friday afternoon, so we took off with her and dragged the snowmobile up Togwotee Pass to get some fresh powder turns which turned out to be better than we could have ever hoped for!

A little piece of Togwotee, a snowmobiler's heaven.

That little hill straight across was our playground for the afternoon, more than enough to play around in with 3 feet of new powder!

Trev would switch off taking either Kari or I on the sled in front of him, clinging to the middle handlebar, while he stood and steered from behind. Believe it or not, this is Trevor AND Kari making a sweet powder turn!

Happy customers!

Kari with a big smile and a powder mohawk.

This is what we got to do all afternoon and I have to say none of us could wipe the grins off our faces!

Me and Trev. I had to cover up every inch of skin because we were honestly riding through a tunnel of snow and just getting hammered and couldn't see anything! So fun!!!!

Trev charging through the endless deep

Trev in the lower left floating through the billowing cold smoke....

Hoping to get a short video together soon to give you a little feel of what this goodness was really like!

Why no love?

It's weird, but Chels doesn't love the stache for some reason? I for the life of me can't figure out why? There will be a deep pow blog coming soon, stay tuned, it's dumping here.

April Fools Nothing to Joke About

April 1st on Togwotee Pass after work today looked like this! I don't know a lot of places in the world that you can ski knee deep powder one day after work, then mix it up the next evening and snowmobile waist deep fluff. Yes, we are lucky to live in Jackson.

The riding was insane tonight! It was right up there as one of the two best days of the whole winter. I sat at my desk salivating over the Togwotee Pass Web Cam all day long and once I got cut loose, I bolted with my bud Tim up to score on the white gold.

Me dropping into the goods. It was mid winter quality snow in April. Big surprise, the parking lot was empty and we didn't cross over another track, most guys have long ago given up on winter, while ol man winter came roaring back!

Tim diving in.

It was almost deep enough to be too deep! Even though modern day sleds are amazing pieces of machinery, they still get stuck in the deep stuff.

My view got obstructed on this turn.

For My Mom

My mom's birthday was last week and even though I called her and emailed her and gave presents, she still wanted a shout-out on the blog, so here you are Mom...Happy Birthday! Love you!!!
