Why isn't every day a vacation?

What an amazing last 10 days we had, but as always it is good to be home too! We left the Friday before last, right after work and flew to Seattle where our cruise was scheduled to take off from on Sunday. That night we booked it over to Port Townsend to meet up with Trev's parents, Rob and Linda, and sister, Sarah, and spend 2 nights with his Uncle Pete and Aunt Kay who have lived there for over 25 years.

I had never been to PT before (or even Seattle for that matter!) and instantly fell in love with it. It is artsy and funky with beautiful flowers, cool houses and friendly people everywhere...here is a little peek at the action packed day we had there. Can't wait to go back!

We have arrived! Our first day of vacation and it is actually sunny in Port Townsend...apparently it was trying to make a good impression on me and it passed with flying colors!!
Pete and Kay's awesome house.

View from the back porch where we all lounged away the morning drinking tea among the flowers.

We cruised down to the local farmer's market where we devoured amazing fish tacos...

I eyed the succulents and wished I wasn't flying home!

And marveled at the colors!

Then we picked up ice cream and headed down to sit on Pete and Kay's sailboat which they built themselves!

Unfortunately we weren't able to cruise in it because we had too many people, but that was okay, plenty of that to be had later.

Don't worry, I'm not mad...just pensive?

Instead we walked the beach for miles, took our shoes off in the sand and got our toes wet as we wandered...it was delightful.

We walked down the beach to the lighthouse and then climbed the hill up to the top of some bluffs where thankfully there is a sign to keep Trevor in line!

If you look closely you can see the lighthouse on the tip way in the distance, Trev's hat brim is kind of pointing to it.

A great day with the Robinson clan.

Outta here!

Trev's Grandpa Jim is turning 90 and because him and his fabulous wife, Grannie De, are amazing superstars and we all have killer vocals, the whole fam will be singing this all week on our way to Alaska.....later!

On the water

Now that summer is finally here and the daily downpours have stopped, we are soaking it up and heading out on our kayaks as much as we can. There is something about being out on the water on a perfect sunny day and fishing or reading a book without a care in the world that really gives you the "I love love LOVE summer" feeling, well that and fresh berries, cruiser bicycles, bare feet in the grass, art fairs, farmer's markets, warmth, intertubes, flowers...hmmm, maybe I am not as much as a winter girl as I thought. Here are some of our summer escapades so far...

Trev on a evening float on Jenny Lake

Trev, Marco and Anna on Jenny Lake

More Jenny Lake awesomeness

Slide Lake this last weekend

Slide Lake picnic pitstop

Slide Lake and some buff stud I was following

Leigh Lake, we just made it out of here before the thunderstorms started up

Oh and have you heard? This is our next boat. Yep, we are heading on an Alaskan cruise this weekend! More details to follow...

Hope you are all soaking up your summer!

Good times

We had so much fun with Marco and Anna, being we hardly ever get to spend any time with my brother, it was awesome getting a 5 day summer visit! Here are some more pics of their trip...

Some aerial awesomeness by Marco...

Okay, I admit, I was a little scared on some of these takes!

Anna the tree climber, she actually got really high, I think she is part monkey.

And some good old-fashioned leg wrestling, I think Trevor beat Marco...

Anna beat Marco...

And Anna beat Trevor...you go girl!
Btw, she is the fastest slalom skier in Canada, you know?

She deserves a glass of olives

This was in between our two tube missions down Flat Creek, needed to warm the insides!

Thanks for the visit guys!
