Santa Barbara is the equivalent.....

.......of Jackson... Aka Paradise!  Jackson and Santa Barbara are probably our two favorite places to spend time on good ol planet earth.  Because....they both rule!  Ahh, just another day at Sandyland.

All the ladies, eating chips and being hot.

A little golf mission up to Ojai happened.  Uncle Tim, lining up a putt with his belly putter.

I love you ladies, even when you are sideways.

 Volleyball with a view.

There might have been a buckets worth of range balls pirated from the course in Ojai that might have ended up in that big ocean they call the Pacific.  Capt. Curt preparing to launch.

Like I said, SB is on par with JH.  Paradise.

Cocktail hour on the deck, the tradition lives on.  My grandparents never missed it.  They would traditionally pour really stiff Scotch Ol Fashion's.  Us..., not so much.

Umm, awesome shot.  Anna documenting preggers Shannon being lifted by Matt all the while Curt is  trying to release a mini shark that he caught.

Goodbye SB.  Until September....We are so, so, so in love with you.

Moving on...

Our journey continued from San Fran down the California coast on Highway 1...oh my gosh, so beautiful! Definitely a must-drive stretch of highway. We had to get out a lot for photos and the jaw-dropping cliff/ocean views.

Just California cruisin', all we needed was a convertible and some scarves on our heads!

Pebble Beach Golf Course! We did the 17-mile-drive in Carmel that took us right to this famed course.

We were able to walk a few holes and Trevor was really excited. Obviously. He couldn't keep his thumb down!

An artsy shot on the 18th green.
Excuse the hair, I am using gusting winds for my excuse on that one.

This place is so gorgeous. And fancy. The 18th again, we liked this view.

So fancy that Trev found Tiger Wood's locker in the bathroom.

And so fancy that the gas costs $6.24/gallon. Wait...what??? Are you serious?

With a few tears and a vow from Trev that he would one day play a $495 round of golf at Pebble, we moved on to fill the rest of our day with sites like this. Yes, please.

Trev just being the wild and dangerous guy he is.

The San Simeon seals...aaahhh, cute.

Wow, now that is a lot of seal grunting.

Next stop Santa Barbara, baby...

Home is Nice...

Just a quick deviation from the Cali musings..Being home has been awesome.  June can be both the best and the worst month in Jackson.  When the sun is out, everything is green, there is still snow in the mountains, its tough to beat.  I have been riding my new road bike every day and seeing cool stuff, like buffalo.

Chels has mad a pledge to ride to work with me in the mornings.  Turning over a new leaf, Chels the morning person.

Golfing after work is really one of my favorite things.

Never, ever grow tired of this view.

A little more Cali and a lot more fun

On the road again, we have a lot more of Cali to visit!
That is my too-much-car-time face.

We got a great visit with my grandparents in Sparks, which is always ridiculously entertaining given they are the cussing and drinking sort. Me, my Baba, and my mom just sitting around looking pretty.

Really wish we got to see them more often!

Then it was off to my dad's house in Forest Ranch, CA, right outside of Chico. He has a sweet piece of property, but the most amazing part is this regulation and CHALKED badminton court in his front yard! We invited my cousin Paul over to complete our four-some and the games were on!

Some pretty fierce badminton games took place if I do say so myself.
Here is my cousin, Paul, me and my dad ready for action.

Also got to play around a bit on my dad's 4-wheeler...fun! Loving motorized anything nowadays!

Then off to San Francisco, the coolest city around.

We got out and stretched our legs and Trev piggy-backed me up some hills because that is a very good way for him to remain the studly stud that he is.

And we watched some surfers under the Golden Gate and Trev was jonesing a little wishing he could join in.

But instead we walked across the Golden Gate and it was cool.

Then we hunted down an awesome vegan restaurant in the city for lunch and I was drowling and wishing I had that many options every day. But then again, that might make eating out very difficult. This is basically how Trev and I roll, a little yin to a little yang, a glass of green juice to a pint of beer. It must be why we jive.

We visited some city peeps including Trev's cousin, Robin, who just moved back to the Bay from So. Cal with her fam. Haven't you heard? Stripes are where it's at.

And I got to walk and explore the city with my godmother, Berta, who is amazing.

Then a Giants game!!! Ohhh yaaaaaaa!

We went with Scott and Peg and Halley and rocked our Giants orange all the way!

Garlic fries; a necessary indulgence I concluded.

I really do love baseball.

Because Trev was lacking his Giants garb (maybe because he is a Mariners fan?), Peg kindly lent him some hair. :)

This stadium is so sweet. Aahh, love.

And things got crazy and the game went into extra innings and Panda hit a homer to tie it and my eyes went wild and Trev's hair blew into a mohawk and the computer just turned this pic upside down and we had the best game night ever. Go Giants! (I think Trev might be converting his allegiances soon.)

And we capped off our San Fran stay with Trev's Aunt Peg, so great to hang in her style-y S.F. abode.

Wow, what a whirlwind of fun! Next stop, Hwy 1 to Santa Barbara baby!!!
Rollin', rollin', rollin'.....

Where to even start?

Two blissful weeks of travel came to an end this morning as we arrived back to cold and rainy Jackson.  We put on over 3,500 miles on the truck on a mission to see as many friends and family as humanly possible in two short weeks in the Golden State, California....!

The trip started with a mandatory stop off in SLC to play golf, rest, and see the gang down there.

Then we headed out for what turned out to be the longest driving day of the trip and completed the entirety of Hwy 50 in Nevada, otherwise known as the "Loneliest Road in America."

Second stop, Tahoe/Minden, NV.  Joe and I snuck a day of fishing up at Carson Lake in.  Great to be back in the Sierra's.
Ahh, many miles together in those feet since we last sat here together!  Our favorite pier that we used to spend time on, West Shore, Tahoe.  Tahoe was as magnificent and amazing as always.

 Joe, Chels and Ren-dogger.

One morning we swung into Tahoe City to chill with "Sully", Chels' uncle.

One night we crashed with Katherine and Josh at Squaw Valley.  Thanks for the amazing dinner guys.  Your house rocks.  And to boot, Foopy joined us for dinner too.

Oops, somehow below I snuck in a shot of me back on Hwy 50 taking in the solitude.

Below this one, Foopy, Kari (completely random, happened to be at Squaw on a work trip), Chels, and a damn preggers Kat-Breath, looking great!

Ughhh......this blog is hap-hazard.  Its late, I am tired, goodnight now.
