Baby Shower time!

This weekend we had the first baby shower with a bunch of family and friends from near and far and it was a blast! My mom and Trev's mom both made the trip as well as friends from Tahoe and Salt Lake...nothing like a little party to make a girl feel special! : )

We decorated some onesies with a monster theme...

Heather and Hannah displaying the goods

My friend Mindy's daughter, Sarah, showing off her artwork.

Jess, showing her support for Team Robinson!

Linda finding a little poopy humor on the diapers that everyone wrote on : )

Brandy and the girls trying to guess which baby is which...that was a hard one.

And monster sandwiches, masterly crafted by Hannah the Great

The crew!

And winter is here! When not partying baby-style, we took Liz and my mom on a little chilly walk with a view.

Winter wonderland has arrived! (I love it!)

Our #1 baby, Stevie, trying on some of the new baby gifts for himself.
He said he might borrow this little bear hat in the winter to keep his ears warm.

And he definitely approves of the penguin snuggly suit!

Combo platter

of fun was had this weekend up on Togwotee.  After my dad and I went for a cruise on the sled, we then did some more  quiet and less aggressive snow exploration on skis (me) and snowshoes (dad).  Beautiful evening.

Contemplating the meaning of life.....or taking a piss?

Trudging along like a  true warrior.

Winter has arrived...

In a serious kind of way!  We essentially went from zero to one hundred with temps and snow.  Amazingly awesome day up on Togwotee on Saturday with my Dad messing around off the summit.  It was waist deep and blower.

My kick ass, legendary dad, hanging on my sled with my truck in the background.  My dad had that same shit eating grin on his face the whole day!

Something about riding a sled makes me about as stoked as any other activity in life.  All the dynamics that are involved culminate in moments like this.

There was still grass poking out, but it was deeeeeep.

Low angle goodness in the trees.

This picture says a million words!  Love  you so much Dad, one for the memory books my friend.

Hard to believe....

With the thermometer reading double digits below zero, it's amazing to think I was in the desert a little over a week in shorts and a t shirt.....

The drying rack after an all day ride, watching the sun go down in one of my favorite places anywhere on earth.

The boys, crushing beers and steaks.  Life done well.

Desert braaping with the boys

My awesome wife helped me put together this vid from our most recent desert moto trip.
So even if you don't like moto, you should still watch this because it's sweet.
And you have to admit...it makes moto look pretty fun!

Solitude...

Alex descending a steep downhill hill climb.

Drew doing the same.  The boys were teeing off climbing this mega hills.

The ghost town of Woodside, UT.  There were people living there not too long ago, but not a soul these days.  At the turn of the 20th Century there were as many as 300 hearty souls calling it home.

Alex and Drew, on one of our favorite trails down there, "Odds".

Contemplation at the edge of the world.

Tracks heading south toward Green River.

True to desert off season form...... warm during the days and cold, super cold at night.

Happy weekend everyone.

Just so damn awesome..

Down south this time of year is quite simply the best.  Those that know the desert vibe get it.  Those that dont, I cant encourage you enough to go see for yourself what its all about.

Alex and Drew, just before heading up the super gnarly Chimney Rock climb.

Aaron came down long enough to get airborne, and two flat tires, and turned right back around and headed back to SLC.  TOtal bummer.

Drew got no flat tires on this air.

Hundreds of miles of kick ass singletrack in that lil piece of BLM goodness.

Good luck guessing what is going on here???????   Scuba Steve hand launching a clay pigeon and Alex getting after it with a 12 gauge.

Drew, happy, tired lil camper.

Delivering the goods...

The Woodside moto served up another amazing extended weekend of good times the past 5 days!  It's the off season and that means heading south to the desert.  We went into the San Rafael Swell and had it all.  Epic riding conditions, didn't see another human for 5 days, sun, warmth, cold, wind, snow, you name it.

Drew spinning in a dry wash.

Drew and Alex, surveying all that makes this place so special.  This is on the Rim Trail.  Note, see the ledge and trail, its a no fall zone!

The lonely road coming from hwy 6 and headed toward Castledale.  It is all in the eye of the beholder.  Seems like a lot of people would say that "there isnt anything out there" which is just fine by us!

Scuba Steve got a flat the first ride of the weekend, night changing.

Drew commandeered this from a snowbank up in Jackson and it now resides somewhere in a tree in the middle of the desert.
