Take us back...

No filter ever needed on the beach in Carpinteria.

Dash watering the volleyball court hoping and wishing that he was old enough to be included in the volleyball game!

70 years young!  Thatta way Dad.

 Cousin sandwich.

Cocktails and sunset over at the neighbors.

We rode into SB one day via the chariot then took the Strider for a spin.

So much to love about this area.

Yes.  Uncle Pete, Bob the Bison, and 4 wheeler.  Dash was in heaven.

Each and every evening brought a new and amazing sunset.

SB is the bomb...

We had an awesome ten day trip down to Santa Barbara for the annual Thanksgiving with the Robinson crew.  This year was the first trip that Dash could actually play and interact with all of his cousins.  He was in heaven!

Having a cold drink on a hot day with Lucy.

 Morning sunrise over the slough.

Max, reading Dash his bedtime stories!

 Such an awesome spot.

Wait, what Dad?  You mean this tasty things grow on trees, they are right on my level when on my Strider bike, and I can eat as many of them as I want?  Yep Dash, all of which is true.

Uncle Tim's backyard.  Sometimes I wish we lived somewhere that this would be a reality in our yard!

 Another day, another bright sunrise!

Fresh off the plane from Wyoming where it was 5 degrees when we left, to So Cal where it was in the 80's.  It felt amazing.  We took the trains both coming and going and were able to do the whole trip without a rental car which was super cool.

A boy, his Strider bike, and a wide open beach at low tide.  Doesn't get much better.

Hard to believe!

That these shots were from the first weekend in November!  Such good early season riding to be had.

Nate getting some.

Me in front of the lens rather than behind it.

Jesse finding what felt like middle of November riding.

Steve sidehillin out of a gully.

Nick up at 10k feet shredding.

Yes!

Jackson.....what an awesome town!  I can't imagine many towns in this country have this sign in front of their parking garages!  Pretty telling how huge the sport seems to be getting, especially in the last 5 years.

Until spring...

THe last moto day of the season for this crew, and it went down as one to remember for a long long time.

Nate and Me, catching a breather and taking it all in.

Our fearless leader Drew, picking up the pieces at the end of the moto train and taking a wide expanse with no humans all in.

Hope to be back to this lil piece of heaven come spring time.

There were some very gnarly sections.

Me getting ready to drop off the brink.

King of Kings

Well, I am pretty sure we have been down to the San Rafael swell close to 20 times now exploring on our moto's.  But...., there is always something new to see, and my hard adventuring bud Drew dialed in a true gem last weekend that opened all of our eyes and beat us down, in the best kind of way.

The lunch top hill gang.

I challenge you to find one form of human life in this photo other than the badass moto!

"Is this really happening Drew?  How the hell are we gonna fit 12 grown men and moto's on this knife ridge?"

Tucker taking the mans entrance to this one way trail.

Note.....Tucker's excitement lasted until he ping ponged off the rocks!  ALl the rest of the mere mortals walked their bikes very gingerly.

Nate working his way up the burly Chimney Road "road".

Yea Mike.

83001

We had close to 15 people over the weekend camping, riding moto, and being awesome from JH.  It was such a great collection of buds and good times.

Nate getting after it in a lil wash section.

Whole bunch of ski dudes down in the desert soaking up what will be the warmest temps for this crew in 6 plus months!

Mike, embodiment of what it is to be on your first moto and sending it!

All Jackson dude, one big happy lunch stop!

 Cocktail hour ensues!

 And continues......

And then turns into this!!!!!

THe Swell being swell

We left a blizzard and 7 hours later......, it was 70 and beautiful!

First off......massive, massive thanks to my awesome wife for letting my moto habit take me away from being a dad last weekend!  4 days down in the desert ripping moto with my homies in one of my favorite places anywhere was a true treat.

The Jackson crew rolled down hard and had a riot.

Booooo

One more of the trick or treat gang!

Saturday, November 4, 2017

Halloweeeeeen!

And once again Dash is the Big Bad Wolf, but to be fair, even though he had this costume last year, he did nothing but cry in it and then take it off. This year, he roared, wore it to school and even trick-or-treated in it, a big win even though he could never remember if it was a wolf or a doggie and we only got him in it by tauting how soft and comfortable it is (two of his favorite things right now!)

L to R: Trevor's "interesting" interpretation of the WY bucking bronc won most creative award, Chelsea's smiling teeth pumpkin and Dash's "big smile with little teeth" pumpkin

He's actually a Big, Nice Wolf

His favorite part of Halloween was hanging out with Maddy (Brown)
He's a sucker for older women.

I don't even really know what candy is, but this sure is easy! : )
