Excited for the years to come on the King.

Big things are happening at the lil ol ski hill that could, Snow King.  Something in the neighborhood of 20 million dollar expansion happening.  In our opinion, long over due!  The Kind is the most badass town hill around and under utilized.  A new lift, lodge, summer activities, snow making equipment, lighting, etc. just to name a few of the upgrades.  This is the hill that Dash is going to learn to ski on.  Damn right!

Til November.....

The mountains got a blast of snow up high above 8,000ft last weekend.  With conditions being too crummy in the valley to be on the bike, a ski mission seemed like an appropriate way to get some cardio.  There were some awesome turns, (see above) and a bunch that weren't so awesome.  I think I am retiring the skis for the winter.  Ready for summer.

First happening all around

When you are two and a half awesome months old, it seems like just about every experience is your first one.  Dash is two bath's deep and it's safe to say, he absolutely digs the water!  Many river trips, surf missions, and pool experiences await you my friend.

Road trippin'

I am lucky enough to travel all over Wyoming every month for work depending on where kids that I work with are placed.  For years I seem to go to Thermopolis and Worland every month.  I absolutely love it over there and it always feels good to get out of the bubble that is Teton County.  For the first time, Chels came with me and so did Dash!  We wanted to get out of town and see how Dash fared on his first long distance car trip.

Dash, looking tiny next to a big ol stegasauras....I think?

The Wind River Canyon. Once of the more beautiful stretches of highway in the 307.

Dash, looking cool in his mom's shades.

Mid day park scene in Thermopolis.

Final verdict.....traveling with an infant takes longer, no matter how you slice and dice it, but, it's awesome!  Well done Dash.

Spoiled rotten....

The weekly post work group rides this month have been amazing.  Lack of much of a winter has been a boom for the road biking scene.  The rides have been well attended and decisions have been made to save the in town rides for the heart of the summer, instead, taking advantage of the car-less riding up in GTNP.

The crew, on top of the Signal Mountain climb.

And chasing the sun back to the trucks on the way home.

I am not really sure...

Where this last work week went.  These are shots from last weekend, but still fun nonetheless.  Riding with the crew up in GTNP enjoying kids, sun, and no cars on the roads up there.

 Pit stop with a view.

Marco making the "partyclette" hum with goodness.  My Uncle Tim got it for us over in the Alps this winter in honor of us not being able to ski with him over there this winter.  It's such a kick ass mobile hot snack set up.

2 months old!

It's hard to believe Dash is already 2 months old! He loves eating his hands, being held, staring at bright lights, swinging his arms and hitting himself in the face, crying in the library and bike rides, until he doesn't...
He's the best.

It's hard to believe how much he's grown already...
born at 6 lbs 4 oz, at two months he is up to 11 lbs 2 oz!

Here are my favorite outtakes from his 2 month "photo shoot"

Just chillin' with Marco and Anna

 Power to the people!

Love this little family of mine.

I think Dash had had enough of photo time by this point...

 Ready for a bike ride!

So fun having you visit Marco and Anna...this is one lucky little dude to have you in his life!

Fun Olympics

Was in full effect last Saturday.  Nope, that is not a fake backdrop.

Marco and Anna loading up getting ready for a ski.

Skinning up.  If you didnt know better you would think it was May!

Anna getting to the top of "25 Short".  Looks like the ice is about ready to come off Jenny and Jackson Lakes to the north.

Anna taking her skins off with Buck Mtn in the background.

 Happy to be up top.

Marco and Anna

Came to visit this weekend and it was nothing short of the best!!!  Thanks so much guys for rallying up to meet Dash, ski, bike, and hang with us!  It was an awesome time had by all, and I think this picture pretty much says it all.  Yes Dash, that there is a damn good person to look up to in life my friend.

Say it ain't so...

Slow down young Dash....., you are growing too fast lil dude.  Seems like he is growing out of clothes and gear at an accelerated rate!

Mornings on the weekends is me and Dash time.  Love hanging with him when he is waking up to the sun.

And as happy as could be.

It is going to be a bitter sweet day when Dash is too big for our favorite "helicopter" hold.

With growth comes more and more excited vibes to tackle the bike paths of Jackson with Teddy and Eli, his stuffed animals.

Blast from the past.....

Ol man winter came in strong yesterday in town and in the mountains.  I jammed out to Snow King on my lunch hour.  Skinned up, and got turns like this on the way down.  It was awesome.

So much to love....

about spring time in Jackson.  It's always a mixed bag of weather, but when it's nice, wow does it feel good.  Monday was beautiful.  I took an extended lunch hour and went for a rip out to Kelly, Antelope Flats, and back to town.

Tetons out toward Shadow Mtn.

Taking a breather at Mormon Row.

And no blog is complete without a shot of the Dashman.

Trifecta of Dash

Like mother like son.  Dash loves to read.

Getting some of the last days out of his favorite racoon fleece.

Well my friend, you are in luck, because we love hugging you!

Sunday crushing...

Starting young seems to be the key.  Dash is totally pumped up on being in the Chariot and going on bike rides.  Each weekend we are going longer and longer and are already so fired up for the weather to get warmer so that we can go on big cruises this summer.  The amount of dedicated bike paths in the valley is unbelievable.  We have one literally right out our back door that leads to all the vast network of paths that go all the way up to GTNP and all throughout town, Teton Village, etc.

Today Dash decided to bring along his bud the elephant to help keep him warm.  He also sported his first "buff" neck warmer.  Rollin in style.

There are a bunch of tunnels in the bike path system throughout the valley and they all have super cool artwork in them.  Chels and Dash admiring the views.

Digging the Chariot set up so much.  I would imagine by the time Dash is too big to use it anymore many years from now, it will virtually be worn out!

Daily Dash Doings

Since Dash has arrived, our lives have become more mellow than ever before.  It's of course a very, very good thing.  It's just a gear that we were not really sure we had.  Dash seems to have found it as well.  He wanted to hang out in his fleece sleep sack all morning!  So happy

We have dubbed Saturday's "spa day" for Dash.  He gets a bath, we file his nails, he gets a massage, hair wash, etc.  He absolutely loves it.  Who the hell wouldnt?

And then when all that is done, you sit and watch your first Masters tournament with your dad!
