Doings of Dash

 The Dashman has been a busy lil dude of late.  

Shopping with mom, inspecting all the fresh produce.  

 Standing flat footed in his favorite car.

And embracing fall in his bear cub suit swinging at the park. 

Say it aint so....

 I am excited about the change of the seasons on one hand, and bummed on the other.  Pretty fired up to take Dash sledding, get on skis and snowmobile, etc, but also bummed to be nearing the end of the outdoors riding season.  I didn't really set out with too many goals for the roadbike this summer other than to get a bit of race experience and log as many miles as a new dad possibly can.  Done and Done!  After a good long week of riding in Santa Barbara over Thanksgiving coming up in a few weeks, and thanks to an early start with lack of snow this past winter, looking like I will get to 5,000 total miles for the summer on the bike.  

Shot a couple of days ago from what will surely be one of the last of the year outdoors in the valley.  

And one from last night on a work trip.  Pretty sure I might be the only person who has worn spandex ever in Lyman, Nebraska! 

Til spring time....

 Another SLC, or better yet, desert trip will be happening in the spring with this crew.  Already can't wait!  Will see ya again in CO Marco and hopefully you too Goodtimes.

Mandatory

 It wouldn't be fall if we didn't head south down to UT to hang with friends and fam and ride moto.  Desert plans kinda fell through this fall unfortunately, but.........., we just stayed local to SLC and ended up having such a great weekend.  

Every fall it seems like for the better part of 5-6 years we have met up with the Happes to ride moto and hang.  Just me, Shannon, and Matt on Friday up in the Uinta Mountains near Kamas, UT.  Great trails.  

 We stayed at Marco and Anna's which ruled....whole lot of bonding time, and....Dash got a new book!  Marco practiced what the book preached.  Lots. 

 And a two'fer of Shannon getting after it on the big loop we did called Woodland.  I am always pumped to see new trails and ride with old friends.

Solid day with "Pops"

Pretty awesome day in the valley with Chels' dad, "Pops" who is in town visiting and hanging with us for a few days.  We went on a cruise around GTNP and scoped out Jenny Lake.  

Then came home and carved some pumpkins.

Exitement

 I was pleasantly surprised with how happy Dash got when I showed him a picture of sleddin' and explained how fun it is and that soon enough, he will be ripping through powder with me getting face shots on the winter fun mobile!

Happy 68th!!!

Today was a damn fine day!  I got to hang with my mom and her twin sister Susan and celebrate their 68th birthdays.  We rode 65 miles, just short of riding their ages.  Pretty damn inspiring!  You ladies rock.  Here's to many more birthdays to come and miles in the saddle.  Stay young!

Back to the BH's

Friday saw a return back to some of the best moto riding in the West in our humble opinions.  You know, that mountain range that 99 out of 100 people driving to IF from JH haven't thought twice about, much less get out of their cars to explore.  The Big Holes are amazing, always, and Friday served up a usual meal of goodness. 

Weekends

 I look at weekends in a whole new light these days.  Getting to hang with this lil bundle of awesomeness first thing in the morning is so awesome.  He sure does like 7 am a whole lot better than 7pm! 

Daily morning walks to the Post Office and learning to write his name. 

No sleep til.......Kelly

Sometimes when your lil dude won't sleep, you go on a drive to get them to finally fall asleep.  Pretty sure Chels' jaunts to get the Dashman asleep are about as pretty as any mom could have.  Yesterday, Mormon Row and the Tetons had the magic touch with Dash, not to mention the Subaru and some old school 103.7, "The Range"!

Happy 35th mi amigo!  Teddy, you are a legend and the Robinson fam loves you dude.  Cant wait to spend many more years together laughing, adventuring, and not taking life seriously.  Good times.

Woa, so fun.

 The Moose-Roubiax was last Thursday.  Wow, it was a blast.  Mellow spring gulch up to Moose, full on race pace no holds barred from Moose to Teton Village.  Ended up on the podium, yahoo.  Already looking forward to jumping head first into the categorized racing scene next summer.

1%

I was lucky enough to get an invite from Case to play down at the Sporting Club for a fundraiser last weekend.  It was a super fun day and a 5 hour time wrap into what it must be to hang in the 1% crowd for us!  So stoked to have gotten to play two of the out of reach price wise courses this summer.  Only makes me wish affordable golf in this valley existed.  

 

Yea, it was as amazing of a course as it looks.
