Exploring

Dash is highly motivated right now to get fun hikes in before the snow comes.   That, and eat apples.  About the only other food other than milk that he is stoked on.

Dash and his favorite, chillin after getting up to Ski Lake and taking a lunch break.

Hopefully in three months or less I will be taking this exact same line on the sled.  It is the main route up to the wilderness boundary above Phillips Pass that we regularly take.

Heading up.

Work and a twist of exploration

It seems no good work trip to Casper is complete these days without a bike ride/massive climb up to the top of Casper Mountain.  I was out in Casper this week for a training and headed up there on the bike on a hot afternoon.  Took a breather at Hogadon Ski Area.

Wandering out the back door

September, save for a few days of grossness, has been its usual best month of the year in JH.  Dash has been taking advantage and all about hiking!

Chels, striking a pose up near the summit of the King.

On the summit chair, top of the King.  We did the entire loop from door to door.  Dash was a rock star per usual.

He slept to the top of Josies, and then was wide awake taking in the views the rest of the way.

This lil dude sure does bring us a lot of happiness.

Working on his neck strength, I think?

Of course with the first day

of Fall today how can one not think about being in the mountains, cold air,  turning leaves, and wearing fleeces that have been in your tupperwear for the past 5 months, eh Dashman.

Work wanderings that morphed into a fun trip

With my work obligations outta the way early in the long weekend, we had free reign to see and do Nashville with our local Lizzy!

There was sweet park oasis right in the middle of the city that we went on a big hike in.

Which of course got Dash and his best pal Sophie all tuckered out.

 Downtown Nash.

 The gang.

Dash a lil unsure of the city life.

Dash very sure of the universal love of cats, no matter the location!

Dash does Nashville

Sometimes the stars align just right in this wonderful world.  I went to Nashville for work in March and got to hang with the Lizdogger for way too short of a time.  This go around, I sandwiched some work and a ton of plan in and brought the entire fam.

Lizzdogger, Dash, and Chels, Nashville airport in the private air side of things.

Dash enjoying the corporate jet lifestyle.

Scoping the fancy jets, big boy toys.

No trip to Nashville is complete without some down home bbq food.  And that we did, an did it well.

Dash's first flights were awesome.  He totally crushed it and barely make a peep.

Taking off from the most scenic commercial airport in this fine country of ours.

"T" was in town for a hot second and stopped by to say whats up to Dash prior to us leaving.  Good to see you homie, hope to see you again at the Beav.

Assortment.

Anna G took this super rad photo our last night in the Copper Basin.  You can see the hot tub (us soaking in it), the yurt, the cabins, and the big dipper.  It was every bit as awesome as it looks.

Then, no sooner was I back in Jackson, I took off for Torrington and Cheyenne for work for a few days.  Caught this bitching sunrise on the Tetons on the way out.

So bitchin...

Certainly not a lot better in this world than being in the boonies, hanging with good buds/family, and being on powersports!  All of those happened Labor Day weekend in fine form.

Chris and me out the Burnt Aspen trail...Super rad singletrack.

Chris descending with the Devils Bedstead in the background with a fresh coat of snow.

Team awesome took the path of most resistence out from the Copper Basin getting back to pavement in Arco.  Up and over the pretty bury Antelope Pass road.

Chels, Zoe, and Shannon with the road we took out below, not really giving the full extent of its steepness.

Duffy's ranch is so damn cool.  Funky lil cabins for everyone, and a sweet huge ol yurt that had bamboo floors, two king sized beds, flat screen TV, all the fixins.

Chels and Chris, up Lake Creek trail.

Dash, someday when you are older, you will appreciate this picture a lot dude!  Your mom is a total badass.  Moto family.

Did I mention there was a hot tun right on the property!  Yep, good moto ride, come back, crack a cold one and head for the tub.

Looking back toward the empty vastness that is the Copper Basin.  Already cant wait to go back again next year.
