Chels and Dash got after it last night while I was away on a work trip on the Halloween front.  We were late to it this year, but it is the thought that counts, right?  

Damn proud of my frugal and crafty wife!  Dash decided he wanted to be a "Wildkrat" which is some sort of personality on a cartoon he is into right now.  So...., Chels drove two hours to get the fabric and sewed it herself.  Impressive mom'n right there.  

 Apparently Ziggy, no joke, ate all parts of the pumpkin last night for a hour straight.

 Sad but true.   Came back today from Cody via YNP.  This is what the state of Jackson Lake on the north end looks like right now.  That's right, it aint a lake.

Hell of a weekend with my dad up in Montana.  We fished, golfed, and hung out.  Total blast.

Boys weekend

The boys weekend started off with a bang!  Dash got to go into Walmart (our nearest is two hours away) and picked out a new truck.  

We picked up a used chair from someone for Chels who all of a sudden has an affinity to learn how to re-upholster things!

 And damn right, we had maple bars for breakfast!

Learning....

My bud Ben is all in on the new sport of moto for him!  We dove into the deep end.  Got himself a badass bike and all the necessary gear.  Fun witnessing his stoke.

 

Safe n sound...

 Ziggy (on the right) had quite the day yesterday.  He walked down to the bus stop with Chels and Dash and wasnt seen again for the rest of the day.  14 hours later I found him in a neighbors animal trap.  He was safe and sound, he had tried to get out so much that he scrapped his nose up and was full of anxiousness.  

Pay it forward

I sold our drift boat last week to a guy that lives over in Thermopolis.  He sent me this pic from floating today.  Made me happy to see the ol gal in the water and getting used!  We are saving our money for a big raft.

 A bud gave me some of his antelope that he shot a couple of weekends ago.  I made a damn tasty chili with it last weekend.

Additions...

 Hard to tell, but....., added three more trees to the mix today too.  One aspen, two maples.  Looking forward to them growing nice and big over the years.  

Chizzlers be damned

The neighbors forewarned us.....growing leafy greens and veggies in Hoback aint for the faint of heart!  We put the finishing touches on our raised bed today getting it all ready for the winter and the spring to come.  

Ziggy was on the prowl.  

Yep.  Thats right.  Not as simple as just putting down dirt and letting it grow around these parts.  Turns not only do you have to protect from deer up high, but you have to protect below ground too for the chizzlers.  Chicken wire is now under good dirt.  

Now all we have to do come spring time is put some seeds in the quality dirt and boom!  We are pumped.

 Yea Ben!  My bud Ben bought a moto last week and is ALL IN!  He has been working on it ever since and has already ridden five times.

 I am bummed to say....., this weeks TNR was more than likely the last for the season given the lack of daylight a whole bunch of rain in the forecast.
