 Getting paid to travel all over the state helping kids and families hardly seems like a chore to me!  

I truly love my job and all the amazing places it affords me to be able to see.

 One of those missions where things went blue and the conditions were right.

 I put together a hula hoop at ACE Hardware the other day and it was the ticket to getting Dash to stand up better when ripping down.

 This shot of Dash from a couple of years ago somehow got loaded up, so......., a little blast from the past!  

And now current goodness!  A lil bit of hot cocoa from yesterday with a bunch of whipped cream. 

Bluebird

 Easily my favorite sled parking lot in the valley for loading and unloading for obvious reasons.  

 Sleds......they truly do make "low snow" winters anything but.  

Goodness

 Last Sunday very well may have been the most enjoyable sled mission of this winter to date.  

Sun, fresh snow, new terrain.  Tough to beat.

 Things have been a bit funky of late in an already funky winter of weird weather.  Frozen fog.

That feeling you get when you talk about wanting the "taxi cart" at the grocery store all the way there only to see some other kid taking it, then......., realizing that the other kid is your best bud Xavier! 

Still in the season

Since Dash can't stop singing Frosty the Snow Man almost a month after Christmas........, it seemed like a good time to build the actual Frosty. 

Back in the flow

 Thanks to good ol Mother Nature for bringing a good wintery blast yesterday.  Lunch hour on the King was nice.  

 Oops.  Forgot my sunglasses.  

Thirsty?

The garage game is slowly but very surely coming together.  As evidenced by this pic....., not a soul

 shall not go thirsty, ever, in our garage!  Feel so lucky to have a bud who home brews what I think to be some of the best damn beer I have ever tasted. 

Another time.

 A few grown men, all of which who are very mechanically inclined......, somewhat perplexed on how to get a rock that was wedged between the track and the tunnel out?  

After about an hour and a lot of trying different methods...., some climbing webbing, a few caribeaners, a stick, and a sled running in reverse, with a lot of arm power eventually got it out, but...., not before burning up a belt in the process.  

What a treat it was to take this guy on his first backcountry ride.  Matt got me into riding dirtbikes years ago and now it is fun for me to be able to return the favor on the sled! 

Always an adventure

 One never quite knows what is going to lay ahead of them when you leave the truck on sleds.  

 My bud Matt, year 2 on a sled, in way over his head with the Wyoming boys but he didnt complain once!  

Alex, now a junior in high school.  I last rode with him when he was a freshman.  Amazing to see his progression.

 Me and the Dashman had a fun mission last weekend on the King crushing some magic carpet hot laps.  

"I am a big guy now Dad, I wanna carry my own skis."

Tradition

 Chels skied in the New Year's Eve torchlight while Dash and I did some spectating....., that is until the fireworks started and the lil man freaked out, and we went home before they were done!  

Uhhhh huh

 As evidenced by the photos...., we have been making the most out of this winter and are thankful that we actually have snow unlike Tahoe, Colorado, Utah, etc.

 You know you are spoiled when the rest of the country drives thousands of miles to go ride somewhere that we consider it a pain in the ass to drive an hour to get to!  

Delivering

 Last weekend we had to search deeper and in harder terrain, but damn it, we still found the goods!

This type of terrain in the above shot is not for everyone!  It requires an immense amount of desire, skill, balance, and above all, patience!

Classic

 Going up to Granite on sleds in the winter with buds never gets old.  

Dash has done many a missions up there on snowmobile in the past three winters, but....., this past one was his best!  He was both fired up on the sledding and the swimming.
