Comde again

We had a little refresh just after Christmas which made for some nice turns.  

Laughs

 Good times and lots of laughs were had, although perhaps none rivaled what we called "the great boot debacle."  I guess this is the price one pays when you haven't put them on in a decade.  They require the help of both your grandson and son to get them on all the while your faithful lab looks over your shoulder.

Short but super sweet!

 Grandpa GR game into town for a hot 48 hours just before X was and we had a great time hanging, skiing, and snowmobiling  together.   

 We figured out that my dad hadn't skied in a decade!  He still had the turns, but had a tough time keeping up with his grandson.

 First jaunt up mosquito creek the other day was a fun one.

Getting better with each passing year!  No  tears this year and he seemed to sort of enjoy it?  

Looking and finding

 One cant be discouraged by the lack of snow down low.  Once you get up high it is filled in and good to go.

 Elf on the shelf......, if you know you know.  If you dont, you should learn!  It is awesome.

A Saturday in the life of....

 Last Saturday was a day that I hope we regularly repeat throughout the winter as I loved it!  

Dash wanted to snowmobile first thing.

 Then we went skiing together.  

 Then he had ski lessons

Then we ate french fries!  

Low tide equalizer

 A couple of shots from sledding last week.  We are a bit below average for snowfall, but the snowmobile is the perfect tool to find the goods well after storms. 

Lessons

 Dash is doing lessons two days a week this winter.  Getting to do them on Wednesday's with his good bud Johnny is going to be a stoker for him.  

Skin cancer sucks

 Turns out I had some skin cancer on my forehead.  Well...., it got removed.  And now I happily have a scar.  

Standing guard

What you do when your lil dude is having nightmares about "bad guys"......, you get out all the stuffed animals and they stand watch at night to keep things safe.  

Back at it...

Dash and Chels back on the ski scene after a long summer lay off.  Dash was more stoked the first day this season that perhaps the last three combined!  Fun to witness.  

Search and locate

 The annual X mas tree hunt was a success last weekend.  

We went for a 10 footer this year.  I think that we have found our happy medium in terms of appropriate height!  

Life lessons...

Dash is such an awesome lil sponge right now.  He seems to be learning so much so quickly.  Obviously the life lessons are taking a firm grip on him on all fronts!  

The King uphill season

 Going uphill only to go downhill season has officially begun on the King.  I have missed it!  

Full wrap

 Get out day at the beach.  Late arrivals home aren't the best, but getting beach walks and bike rides before getting on planes back to snow country is well worth it.
