Had ourselves a day!

What a stellar day we had to close out the GTNP season last weekend.  It closes on Halloween every year.  We scored a quiet day in what is normally a super busy area.

ANd had utter glass on the kayak over to the hike.

My dude.  He is literally up for every adventure that we throw at him.

1st day....

First fun day on snow went down this weekend with Dash and his bud Dylan.

We sledded first.

Lunch.

Then rode the sled.

 And did some nordic skiing!

Back at the Lego rocket ship again.  It is a massive project.  Of course, aided by Taco.

Seasonally conflicted this week.

We carved up some good ones the other night with Ben.

Dash is playing basketball right now twice a week and digging it.

The SD extravaganza continues!  Sea World.  

Hello massive turtle.  

My cousin Clai and his main squeeze Ambre got married.  

Yes, it rained right before the ceremony which was in fact the first measurable rain in SD in over 6 months.  

Happy for these guys.

 Dash is super into animals right now, so, the timing was perfect.

Had a great dudes day today with this guy.  Picked up his new snowmobile, biked, and got some ice cream.  

 

Fall traditions

Every fall for as long as I can remember we have gone up here on a nice day to soak up all that is amazing about living here.  Yesterday was a darn good day.

Pretty sad to see how low the lake has gotten the last couple of years.

 

Day off

Friday was a day off from school so.....these two were lucky enough to head up to Yellowstone.

Dash won this amazing prize via a reading contest with the library.  

And it is about 1500 pieces and we are starting to put it together.  Super fun project.
