Why isn't every day a vacation?

What an amazing last 10 days we had, but as always it is good to be home too! We left the Friday before last, right after work and flew to Seattle where our cruise was scheduled to take off from on Sunday. That night we booked it over to Port Townsend to meet up with Trev's parents, Rob and Linda, and sister, Sarah, and spend 2 nights with his Uncle Pete and Aunt Kay who have lived there for over 25 years.

I had never been to PT before (or even Seattle for that matter!) and instantly fell in love with it. It is artsy and funky with beautiful flowers, cool houses and friendly people everywhere...here is a little peek at the action packed day we had there. Can't wait to go back!

We have arrived! Our first day of vacation and it is actually sunny in Port Townsend...apparently it was trying to make a good impression on me and it passed with flying colors!!
Pete and Kay's awesome house.

We cruised down to the local farmer's market where we devoured amazing fish tacos...

I eyed the succulents and wished I wasn't flying home!

And marveled at the colors!

Then we picked up ice cream and headed down to sit on Pete and Kay's sailboat which they built themselves!

Unfortunately we weren't able to cruise in it because we had too many people, but that was okay, plenty of that to be had later.

Don't worry, I'm not mad...just pensive?

Instead we walked the beach for miles, took our shoes off in the sand and got our toes wet as we wandered...it was delightful.

We walked down the beach to the lighthouse and then climbed the hill up to the top of some bluffs where thankfully there is a sign to keep Trevor in line!

If you look closely you can see the lighthouse on the tip way in the distance, Trev's hat brim is kind of pointing to it.

A great day with the Robinson clan.
