Rex does Yellowstone

We decided we wanted to maximize our time with our good friends Jess and Case before they head back to Denver next week and also to maximize our time with Rex (the RV) before the snow flies, so what better way to do both than to pack up Rex and head to Yellowstone for an awesome sunny fall weekend!

This is the amazing shot I got out of Rex's window of the Tetons at sunset as we booked it to get up to Yellowstone.

We found the gates at South entrance of Yellowstone unmanned...I guess they are slacking a little bit with the park closing for winter in a couple weeks. We didn't get too far after this, pulling over to camp at Lewis Lake just as we entered Yellowstone.

More fabulous view out Rex's window Saturday morning as we drove by Yellowstone Lake and geysers galore.

We all decided we were going to do it up and be total tourists this weekend, (I mean we were touring Yellowstone in an RV!) so that is just what we did, pulling over to see almost every sight and it was awesome!

Here we were checking out the buffalo rumbling around below in the Hayden Valley.

And here is Rex enjoying the view too.

Case and Trev co-piloting in Rex as Jess and I lounged in the back, definitely the only way to travel!

Hot springs, walkways and pretty colors at the Mud Volcano...

And the Mud Volcano bubbling away, pretty wild.

The amazing Lower Yellowstone Falls and Grand Canyon of Yellowstone...doesn't it look fake??

And Rex cruising like a champ through the North Entrance of Yellowstone. We stopped in Gardiner which is just outside the gates, got an ice cream and headed back into the park for more awesomeness to follow, stay tuned....
