The Smith River turns coed!

Sorry for the hiatus, but we have been busy having fun!

It was a long time coming, too long actaully! But......, we finally brought females on the annual Smith River trip. Judging by the good times, they will get the invite next year!

Getting ready for 5 days of bliss at Camp Baker.

Not exactly roughing it! The double Happe couple, eddy party #1

Right, did I mention chics are going to be more than welcomed back again next year for obvious reasons!

Chels on the sticks and Anna G. lounging up front.

Sorry boys, but chics are certainly a lot cooler to look at on the river than you!

Marco and Anna

We were the last group to sign up for our campsites on our launch day and thought we wouldn't get any of the prime spots on the Smith. Well, there isnt a "bad" boat camp on the Smith, so, we lucked out with all 4 of our camps. First night, at Indian Springs, just 6 miles into the trip.

Errol, clearly in the festive mood.

Just cause your camping doesn't mean the girls still can't class it up a bit.

Reason #237 that chics on the river are a good thing......, the food. Wow. We ate like kings. It seems the girls wanted to class things up a bit and pre-made all kinds of amazing meals. Breakfast being served, day #2.

Having Chels on the Smith this year made me so happy. I now know she will be back many times in the years to come.

Chels and me, hanging in "Marco's Cave" just before everyone ran into some good ol' Montana poison ivy at the bottom of this little hike.

I have done the Smith over 15 times now, and my dad something close to 50 times, but we keep coming back to the amazing fact that you always see and experience something new each and every time you get lucky enough to float the Smith.

The gang hanging in the cave.

16 of our 25 deep group. We never got a complete group shot. Seems the group was too big to get everyone in the same place at the same time!

Awesome angle looking back down at the Smith.

Wow, paradise huh! Kari, Shannon, and the Foopster, all smiles.

Look for more shots tomorrow, too many good ones to limit to just one post! We are back and will be better about blogging.
