Assortment of good stuff

The weeks installment of the Tuesday Night Ride was one of the best in the last few years.  Super fast crew, tail wind in both directions, warm weather, and 70 miles in a national park.  Yes Please.

I cant get excited about anyone this year running for the honor to lead out country, however, this bumper sticker I saw today certainly made me laugh.  I look forward to seeing more creative ones in the coming months bashing both sides.

Dash holding court hanging with the older ladies today at the library.

 Lunch hour picnics rule.

If there is a more patient cat in this world with lil kids than Stevie, I would like to meet that furry fella.

Learning to eat bbq'd corn on the cob.

Post splash/cool off in the creek ride back home.

Randomness

Ever wondered what a steel bike looks like after being run over by a SUV?  Welp, my awesome cruiser bike that I have had for close to 20 years bit the big one a couple of nights ago and is beyond repair.  I was hit and run over by a SUV on my daily commute home from work.  I ended up under the car, but somehow walked away with nothing more than a totaled bike and a skinned elbow.  Super, super lucky.

Earlier in the day Dash and I went up to the National Fish Hatchery just out of town for my lunch hour.  I can't wait to go fish the stocked pond with Dash once he is old enough to cast a line.  We saw a bunch of big ones in there.

GTNP'ing

Somehow in the decade plus of guiding and leading trips in the Tetons I had never made it to Delta Lake.  That all changed last weekend!  THe whole crew made it up there.  Proud of Dash for hanging tough in what was a long day in the sun.

Dash looking down on Bradley and Taggart Lakes from above.

Happy Dude at the base of the Grand at Delta Lake.  Awesome green hues via runoff from the Teton Glacier.

This shot makes me super happy!

Shade is good!

Classic

Dash and I seem to set off on grand adventures early in the morning on the weekends and always find fun stuff to do.  Rode from town up to Mormon Row on Saturday on what was one of the most clear  and beautiful days of the year.

Dash, pointing at the airplane coming in for landing.  He loves watching them take off and land.

Work Wanderings

I spent last week in Casper, WY for a work conference.  There is always something fun to do in Casper, normally involving biking and golf.

Going up the iconic Casper Mountain climb for round 2 and got treated to a perfect rainbow.

End of the pavement, aka, turnaround point.  I have been meaning to get a "grinder" bike.  Maybe in the spring.

It's a super punchy climb from the flats of Casper up to the top.

And no trip to Casper during the summer is complete without a round of golf at Three Crowns.  I think it is one of the best courses in the state.  It was sweet getting to play with work buds.

Seems like I don't get to play all that much these days, but when I do, I always remember just how much I love the game!

Summer days with Mom...

These two have been going on daily adventures together, normally up in GTNP.  Jealous of their wanderings, needless to say!  Yesterday's camp fun included String Lake.

Such a rad weekend

Absolutely classic summer JH weekend went down last weekend.  Dash got his first float under his belt.

Lauren and Dash looking for crawdads?
Sweet new PFD Dash.

The Snake is probably just a week away from being clear and fishable.

 Worn out, hanging with mom.

Felt really good being back on the party barge with buds.

Another 110 mile ride went down...., this time "Around the Block".  Always a big one.

And Chels' first moto of the season over in the BigHoles.

Just a big kid.  Chels went through this puddle over, and over and over again!

Dash and I just hiked and hung out.

 Classic scene getting ready.

I got out for a lil rip too.

A whole lotta goodness

Summer time is in full swing these days.   Was lucky enough to get invited to play at the Pines for a fund raiser a few days ago.
My co-worker Jeff teeing off.

Dash is a regular on all the paths of GTNP.

 Picnic with the boys.

Helping mom plant the flowers.  Nice that it isnt freezing at night anymore.

"Touch a Truck" last weekend was a fun event that Dash wasn't super into, not yet at least.  Next year probably.

Dash didnt think the electric police motorcycle was all that cool.

 Shopping for flowers.

 Worn out.

Woa...

Starting somewhere...

Got the first century out of the way last weekend.  Next one coming up on Sunday this weekend.  Going to go "around the block".  Always fun.  All building for LOTOJA in September.

Free

It turns out somethings in life that are awesome can be free!  Free summer tram rides for locales through this weekend.  Get em while they last.
