Back in the Swing of Things
The
heart of summer seems to be behind us, but....., Case and I still
managed to squeeze in 18 holes tonight after getting off work at 5. Its
kinda nice being back at home and in "chill" mode after taxing the body
and mind to previous unprecedented levels while on the TOI. Gonna try
and hit the links hard between now and when the snow flies.

Dad Around...
My dad was awesome enough to pick us up after successfully getting to Canada up at Priest Lake, ID. We burrowed a moto trailer from my dentist growing up who loves to ride moto, and off we went, southbound back to Jackson. Really nice to be back in civilization where good food and Chelsea hang out!
Chels, amazing veggie meal of Gazpacho and Zucchini Pasta.
And a relaxing float down the Snake. Nice to "chill" after working myself harder than I ever thought possible on the TOI.

S. Fork overnight extravaganza
Last weekend we invited anyone who wanted to come, for an overnight float on the S. Fork and it was awesome. Liz, Matt, Shannon and Curt and Tawnya made the trip and we had a blast.
Starting things out right with huckleberry milkshakes in Victor, ID.
Liz and I cheersing to summer!
They had to fit in a round of golf before we headed to the put-in, so they hired me for my professional cart-driving skills.
Watching Liz nail it!
Liz and Case on the green.
Wyatt cheering everyone on.
Next day, Clancy all geared up to man the boat!
Way to slay 'em Curt...catch of the day. Wait, is that a fish or is that the fly?
Everyone might have been jealous of the girls' party barge, can't beat boxed wine on the river!
Shannon, Tawnya, me, Liz and Susan.
Matt and Curt being serious fishermen.
Who's that tough girl?
Trev stoked for our campsite.
And the boats are parked for the night. Yay!
Trev just can't get enough.
Liz and Jess with glowing hearts
How about some campsite horseshoes?
The crew and our site = good times.
Doesn't get much better than this!
Always some fun had around the campfire.
That was awesome! Heading back down the river and out the next day.

Some summer skiing goodness
I met up with Anna, who also coached at the camp and we spent an extra day in Portland, just playing.
My heaven. Powell's Books. It takes up a whole city block...it was so hard to leave these shelves behind!
But we had to find amazing food and that we did!
And then a glass of wine on top of The Nines...thank you Liz for the tip!
It was pretty.
A yoga class and more healthy goodness before we reluctantly left P-town for Government Camp and 25 screaming girls!
Our new reality the next morning. Standing at the top of our lane on Mt. Hood at 7am. No complaints about this office.
The hooligans. Twenty-five wild screaming girls. It was awesome.
And it still felt like summer, hiking and swimming with friends.
Our morning routine, Anna and Keely ready to set up training for the day. This camp was all about girl power!
Our day off we went paddleboarding in Hood River.
Look at these little cuties!
Anna and Jess stoked for more.
Adios Mt. Hood...until next time!

Tour of Idaho bound!
After all the build-up, the talk, the planning, the riding and the training....we are heading off on our week-long adventure today! Three guys motoing from Utah to Canada in 7 days on dirt bikes, can't wait! This is going to be quite the challenge. Tour of Idaho, here we come!
Here is my moto, ready to roll.
And everything I can carry on my back. Not a lot.
Thanks to Kate's Real Food and Klim for the sponsorship!
Adios, see you on the flip side.

Tinkering with TOI on the mind
The "STD" crew got together last night and did some tinkering to the bikes to get them ready for the 1,500 Utah to British Columbia voyage. I drained my radiator fluid and flushed it out.
Check out the 5.5 gallon tank on the "Orangsickle" for the 200 mile plus runs between gas stations.
Also put on a heat shield on my exhaust pipe to keep my saddle bags from melting on the pipe which can get close to 1,000 degrees!
The license plate seems to continually take the biggest beating in the rowdy singletracks. I threw three nylon bolts on er to try and get it all the way to Canada and keep things legal.
