As most of you probably heard, Marco had a huge crash in the downhill training run in Bormio, Italy last week. He ended up skiing away from the crash, but was later found, standing on the side of the course "spectating", without a clue that there was even a race going on or where he was! Luckily, someone found him and got him to the bottom of the course where they got him into a helicopter and flew him to the nearest hospital. They found bleeding on his brain and had him under observation for a couple days before getting him an escorted flight back home to the States.
Marco and his girlfriend, Anna Goodman in Austria before he flew home.
Besides his face, he is doing well, but not sure when he will be released to be back on snow. He can't work-out, ski or do anything active that would get his heart-rate up and they have even warned him to try not to use his brain a lot...very little reading, tv watching, writing, etc. Ugghhh, poor guy, but at least he is ok!
Thanks for everyone's concern and well-wishes, it meant a lot.
