This shot goes out to all the combat vets that we know. Randomly enough we stayed at the "Edelwiess" hotel in Garmisch which is where Lil J works. Anyhow, its a hotel for members of the US Armed Forces to use while on R and R. We were the only civilians in the whole massive hotel. We had to go through armed guards each time we went on and off property. It was a pretty different experience. Chels and Lizzy were huge hits with the AFN, Armed Forces Network radio show.

Chuck and Wren were over in Garmish watching Bode, so, as an added bonus, we got to hang with the too. Chuck, somewhere under that amazingly hip jacket.

Can it get any more Bavarian? Yes, a massive Weiss Beir and a huge braut with more sauerkraut than you could imagine. We pulled over mid-rodel run to dine.

After all kinds of talk, we finally made it to rodel-bahn the last afternoon we were in Garmisch. Ren-dogger the ripper, me, and Chels the Carver, with our tools of destruction.

If you are going to stay in a hotel that suffices as being in America, might as well go bowling too! We got our bowl on the last night in Garmisch and it was pretty competitive! Chels, en route to a triple digit score and a personal best.
