Giving to Get a Lil'

I was lucky enough to get a random email from a bud a couple of weeks ago informing me of a group, http://www.jhdirt.com/ who is getting a grass roots non profit off the ground to help keep moto trails in Teton County alive and well.  "DIRT" is awesome!  It was formed a couple of years ago as a way of advocating for moto trails locally as they seem to be shrinking more and more.  Last weekend I went up with the all volunteer DIRT crew and did a "DIG" day up the Gros Venture on Horsetail Creek.    The pictures are a bit out of order, but this is the finished product.  A moved bridge, and a "re-route."    The excavator managed to throw in a couple new water features too.

The basic premise of the group is to get the Forest Service to allow us to maintain and improve moto trails that are already in place with the hopes we can prove to them we are capable and willing to build our own moto specific trails in new areas in years to come.

New location of the bridge and improved trail before and after the bridge.

Before picture!

An excavator and an amazing operator made for some kick ass re routing.

Yanking the bridge up from it's old location.

 The supply quad.

Side hill pre any digging and new singletrack.
