Slow Times...

It doesn't happen very often living in a place like Jackson, but sometimes it's really nice to have a "relaxing" weekend and not feel obligated to get out and do as much stuff as humanly possible on the weekend. We chilled this weekend here in Jackson. I find November to be the hardest month of all 12 here in Jackson simply because it is a really "in-between" month as far as outdoor activities are concerned. Too early for good skiing/snowmobiling, too late for fishing/floating, et....

Town is always really quiet in November though. Saturday we went for a hike up behind our place.

It has been really unseasonably warm the past couple of weeks. Been in a never ending rut of fog hanging in the valley floor like a bad habit until the early afternoon before burning off.

Chels trying to will the fog away on our way up "Josie's Ridge"

Home.

The sun finally came out. Don't be fooled by my wife's continual overdressing! She is "cold blooded". It actually reached to 60 degrees on Saturday in Jackson in November. Wow...

This is the launch point on the top of Snow King Ski Area for paragliders. As you can see, Snow King needs a bit more snow before they can think about opening, although, they have started to blow snow out of the snowmaking machines.

Mom, this picture is for you!!! We finally put the "Yak-trax" to use. No longer are we white knuckling down the perpetually frozen, rock hard, and really sketchy northerly facing aspects of Snow King on the way down. Chain tires on your feet are a thing of beauty!
